It’s the best season of the year! Falling for autumn hard over here. There are crunchy leaves underfoot, horror movies galore and pumpkins on every corner, practically. Gotta love a pumpkin, whether that be on a doorstep, in a soup or in a serum. Yup, not only does it look simultaneously all spooky and adorable but pumpkin as an ingredient in skincare can be pretty potent. It’s packed into some of my favourite skin heroes, and it’s too good not to share…
Why Pumpkins In Beauty?
Pumpkins are super rich in vitamins, which makes them active and powerful when it comes to skincare. There’s vitamin A, C and AHAs just to name a few benefits, so adding it into your skincare routine is a no-brainer. Vitamin A is fabulous for having super-smooth skin, vitamin C protects the skin against free-radicals and pollution, AHA help to exfoliate the skin and get read of dead skin cells and vitamin E helps to soothe the skin.
Frances Prescott Tri-Balm
Kicking things off with a turbo-charged cleanser that acts as a cleanser, exfoliator and moisturiser. All packaged neatly in handy stick form, making quick work of a morning cleanse. Even if the formula wasn’t so outstanding, the stick format really deserves a round of applause because it’s such a time-saver in the morning. The formula though is equally excellent. Packed full of pumpkin enzymes that gently brighten the skin, it also has hyaluronic acid and plant oils that soothe and really gently cleanse the skin. It’s great for swiping off makeup or used in the morning; one to pack for holidays as there’s no mess. I would like to see more cleansers that look like deodorant, please.
