Re-use and Recycle Gift Wrap

Tis' the season for present buying and gift wrapping, and this year, we're all focused on creating less waste and more joy!  Instead of rushing out to buy rolls of gift wrap that will only end up in landfill, why not re-use and recycle what you've already got lying around? From brown paper and string to empty boxes and old ribbon, it's so easy (and inexpensive) to change your wrapping habits and make a difference to the environment.  This year, we're offering customers a complimentary gift wrapping service using eco-friendly raffia and recycled brown paper, both of which can be saved and re-used! And it's easy for you to add your own touches if you want to get crafting! Get inspired with Pebble Magazine's gift wrapping tips.

Tri-Balm Christmas Wrapping

 Personalise your luxury skincare present

If you stick to simple wrapping paper you can personalise your gifts with foraged finds and even old Christmas decorations that you might otherwise throwaway.  Adding a seasonal sprig of spruce,  holly or any evergreen foliage is an easy way to add a decorative touch. Get your family involved – children (and adults!) love to forage – and the added benefit is that you're outdoors and exercising at the same time!

Get creative!

In the run up to Christmas, keep your eye out for old boxes that can be re-used as packaging for gifts. Covered in old scraps of wrapping paper or decorated decoupage-style with cuttings from magazines, you can create an eye-catching gift box in minutes!  Adding personal touches, such as a sustainable cotton flannel or Konjac sponge to your gift box, is the perfect addition when you're giving skincare, bath and body products.  Simply tie up with string and add a homemade paper star,  snowflake or handmade gift tag - and your gift is good to go! Finishing Touches

The plainest of packaging can be transformed with some salvaged coloured ribbon and the addition of some dried fruit, cinnamon sticks, dried flowers and herbs, all of which have the added benefit of 'scenting' your gift too!  Tags made from last year's Christmas cards are also a eco-friendly way to re-use and recycle.  Simply punch a hole in the tag, and attach to your parcel with a scrap of ribbon or piece of string.
